Time to stretch those tight hip flexors, loosen stiff lower backs, and frozen shoulders. Toughen the tush against bike seat hell. Recover faster and move quicker. This is yoga to boost your cycling performance and stamina.

Sarah Smith is a yoga teacher curating classes that cater for specific activities. Her anatomical knowledge is second to none. Expect classes that build your knowledge of your own strengths and weaknesses with postures to help soothe and strengthen key areas.

If you love dancing and missed out on ballet classes as a kid, this is for you. This is not a dance class, there’s no choreographed memory games or need for rhythm. But it will stretch, sculpt, and tone in ways other classes just can’t. A true fusion between ballet, yoga and pilates. You’ll leave feeling longer, limber, and enlivened.

One of the most popular yoga classes at BUA. Feel the freshness of Autumn in East London and listen to the sound of the leaves of the trees and your breath. This class is all about combating the effects of our ever-increasing sedentary lifestyles. Standing up from seated unaided shouldn’t be a problem at 33. Nor should we be seeing curvatures of our necks at such a young age. Defeat the seat! And get back to our primal state again.

Let’s get it OM! Ashtanga yoga for all levels. This is energetic yoga where we synchronise breath with our movements. Expect swift postures which instil rhythm and increases our awareness of movement and flow in the body.

Mays Al-Ali is a yoga teacher and nifty nutritionist. Previously a high-flyer in advertising, she ditched the corporate life to pursue a different sort of happiness. She flew through her Advanced TTC in Ashtanga yoga and notched up qualifications as a Reiki Master.
